Al Cenacolo in Province of Modena

"If you ever go to Modena, you definitely must go to this seafood restaurant. Absolutely delicious at very reasonable price. I had: sashimi seafood platter, pasta with lobster and grilled seabass (catch of the day). Every dishes were fresh and flavourful, providing by professional service. The sashimi was so fresh, especially the canabineros prawn. The lobster pasta was to die for, you have to eat this, my daughter and my husband loved it (ask for well-cooked spaghetti if you r not familiar with hard one). The restaurant is filled with loads of colouful and exciting paintings. Absolutely perfect atmosphere for family, couples and friends. I also had the chance to meet the owner, he’s so kind and he gave me his book and I found out he’s an artist. Didnot have the opportunity to take a picture with him. Also after the meal, me & my daughter were given roses which added to my magnificient experience to the restaurant. I’ll definitely come back to Modena because of this restaurant."

"Walk up the stairs to the restaurant, you'll be greeted by some fresh seafood. Everyone had different dishes, including a couple prix-fixe 4 course meals in our group. Everyone was completely satisfied with the freshness & the favors. What makes this restaurant special was the little unexpected touches: the starter of white wine for the table, then an additional focaccia basket and ending with the cleansing palate lemon sorbet...all of these were extras they treated us to as part of the whole dining experience. Even more delightfully surprising, this meal with more food was still less expensive and just as fantastic as the meals we had within the Modena city walls. Oh, and the ladies all came away with roses. Note: the art work is novice and whimsical but has its own charm, don't let that be the deciding factor on the master favors of your meal."

"Let me tell you this: it doesn't happen to me that I give 5 stars, specially two in the same day. But this restaurant is magnificent. Great food, specialities and great service. In Modena area it is a must to have a dinner here for sea food. Everything was delicious and above all the profecional service. You have such a choice of sea food, hard to decide. But everything that i eat was great taste. Highly recommended."

"Buenísima! We were there for the seafood and I had one of the most delicious pasta (tagliatelle with lobster) in my life. The menu is only in Italian but the staff was very friendly and gave us the recommendation. The welcome drink is very delicious. It was a superb dining experience and I would definitely come back here if I am in Modena again"

"This is a hidden gem. Not sure why the low rating?? Our meal was outstanding from start to finish. We would eat here all the time if we were local. The place was filled with them! Every bite was great, and portions are large. Little extras like a welcome champagne, a dessert wine, and a rose for the lady were thrown in by surprise. We did the 6-course tasting menu (counting bread and a sorbet before tiramisu dessert), and it was only €90.00 for two people!"

"Best seafood and good price. The serving is bigger than normal. It’s must try seafood here. Good for dinning for family, friend, and couple. Some waiter can speak English, a little. The seafood is super fresh and super tasty. Seafood meat is sweet as it super fresh. I love it We went there 2 person and order one starter and one main dish. In the end we could not finish it because is big dish, since we start eating from 20:00 till 22:30 it really long time eating . Worthy to spend time here. For all the dishes you see in this review and plus 2 large bottles of water we spend 75€ for 2 asian people and could not finished the meal. They provide free pizza bread but we did not touch because food is too much."
